Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum

Learning Through Play

We understand that children are intrinsically motivated and stimulated by their environment and the experiences we offer.  During play, children learn through repetition as they engage in familiar and new activities, learning to problem solve whilst independently thinking of creative solutions.

To support this development, we provide valuable opportunities for children to learn thorough exploration and investigation and ultimately, to learn through play.

Teaching and Learning

Children's experiences, cultures and languages merge as they learn and play together.

We use our extensive knowledge of childhood development, supported by the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum, to observe and teach children.  These observations identify children’s interests and chosen learning activities, providing opportunities for us to extend their ideas through teaching and by enriching their environment.

Your Child's Learning Journey

Children have their own electronic Learning Journey which captures these experiences through photographs and observations gathered at home and during Pre-School.

Key Person

Each child has a Key Person to support their individual needs, providing essential nurturing, care and a high quality education.  Their Key Person works in partnership with parents, carers and professionals to identify their needs and to meet these during their time with Infinity Pre-School.
